Acne and sweat?

Does sweating a lot help against acne??? At least it's what the chinese people here say. By sweating, they say I am able to get rid of a lot of "poison" in my body, and reduce acne...

On the surface, sweating will help acne. Acne forms when there's a blockage in your pore and the anaerobic bacterias that gets trapped inside the pore reproduce and cause the acne. So theoretically, if you sweat a lot, the sweat can flush out the pore so there's less bacteria in the pores.
However, sweat can mix with dirt and clog the pore. This happens if you don't shower right after you sweat. The sweat+dirt mixture is like cement that blocks your pores and this can cause acne.
i think the answer may have derived from the fact that steam can open up the pores which allows the bacteria and sebum out. but like s133pycat said, sweat can mix with dirt and clog the pores, which is why if you play sports its advised that you shower or wash your face afterwards...or like during a facial, the aesthetician will 'steam' your face for around 3 to 5 minutes before applying a facial mask.
