anxiety and medication

I am having such a problem with my anxiety. I have anxiety attacks a couple times a day and panic attacks atleast once a day. I am so tired of feeling like this. I family doctor gave me xanax 1/2mg twice a day it works wonders but do to the fact I have been taking it for two months he will no prescribe it anymore. I went to a pscyhiatrist he tried me on zoloft, cymbalta, paxil and also another one I cannot remember the name of I have horrible side effects to all of this. Paxil I threw up with constantly, zoloft made me paranoid and all keyed up, cymbalta gave me electrical shocks through my body none of them have worked. I do understand why they do not want to keep prescribing xanax or something like it. But what happens if that is the only thing that works? I do not abuse the drug and I do not take it if I feel my anxiety is under control. I do not know where to go from here. Any suggestions. I just can;t stand the anxiety I have three kids and a husband and my anxiety is affecting everyone.

This is my first day on here, and I too suffer terribly from anxiety, and panic attacks. I have been on just about every medication they could prescribe to someone with my condition, and FINALLY, my break came. Geodon is what I am currently taking, along with Clonzapam. So far so good. We need to keep a positive energy to beat this condition. Good luck to you!
Does anybody give really sick to their stomach from there anxiety? Mine started with stomach bug and I got all worked up that I made myself sicker. I built the acid up in my stomach and 24-7 I feel so sick to my stomach. My doctor just upped my dosage of zoloft but does anybody have things that can help me cailm down and forget this so I can feel better.
I have panic attacks too. Xanax is a type of benzodiazepine. If it works for you, Klonopin could work as well. As your doctor about it.
What helped me get my anxiety attack under control is cognitive behavior therapy. I still get attacks once in a while but when it get the feeling, I just ride with it instead of fight it. So people around me often don't even know I'm having an attack.
Perhaps you should search for another Doctor until you find one that will prescribe it for you. I have been on xanax for about 15 years. It too, was the only thing that worked for me. At one point I was on 5mg a day. I brought myself down to 2mg today, but that is where I am and i wouldn't go back to life without it! before the meds and the education I was a shell of a human being. I'm far from perfect, but much more "managable" keep looking.
I have tried Xanax as well as many other meds to help with my anxiety and depression. I am currently taking Effexor XR, today is day 6. I'm not sure if it is helping or not. I hope so. This is getting rediculous. I feel like I am going insane sometimes. I don't feel like myself anymore. I used to be the most bubbly, carefree person. Now all I do is constantly worry!!! I'm getting scared that I AM going insane. Anyone else ever feel they are going insane???
