anybody on imuran?what are the side effects?

hi,
My doctor wants me to go on Imuran since my other meds are not helping, but I am nervous about the side effects. I'd love to hear you

My uncle was on Imuran after he had a kidney transplant. As an immune suppressant, it reduces the white blood cell count and this increases your chance for getting infections. I remember he had to go in for periodic blood and liver checkup to make sure everything's ok. Besides that, he had some nausea and loss of appetite when he just started on the drug, but after the doctor lowered the dose, it went away.
I asked my uncle yesterday about his experience with Imuran. He says it didn't give him migraines, but your experience could be different.
