I don't know what your doctor would say, but first you'd need to define moderation, then check if your medications are going to be affected. One glass of wine with dinner on a day without painkillers is okay for me, but if I dare have another I can get really wasted really fast and usually sick. If I'm on too much medication, I'll get that way on the first drink. But I don't have heart problems, so I don't know what will happen for you.

If you do decide to drink alcohol, you can really help yourself out by eating food with it and making sure you keep yourself hydrated with lots of water. Wine and beer are your best choices. Stop at one drink, that way you never have to worry about drinking too much, and pay attention to the way it makes you feel.

I hope this isn't a bad answer. I've thought about it a lot and I know nothing about heart problems, my only medical experience comes from being a patient, but I am human and I hear what you're saying.

I hope you're doing well today. Aeryn :)
