Depression

I'm 68 Diabetic, Lost my mother 2007, losing my house and no one seems to care. I've reached out for help, only to be slapped in the face every time. I feel so alone, I think I am alone. And the web pages are no place to asking for anything. People just rip out you heart when you pour you feelings out. What a mistake I have made to try this. Sometimes I just want to end it all. Would that get a reaction out o you people?

I hope you're not talking about this place, since I don't think anybody here is trying to "rip your heart out." Now I don't know how you were treated on other sites, but I can assure you that that's not the case here. I mean, there's not much more we can do here at this site besides offer advice or encouragement here. I'm sorry about your troubles, but you should try not to lose hope. Now I don't know how religious you are, but I think it's times like this where it's good to pray and to have faith in God that everything will turn out alright, cuz miracles do happen when people least suspect them, sometimes it just takes a little faith. I'll go ahead and keep you in my prayers too. :)
I am a diabetic of 15 yrs, and I've lost alot of people as well, so I can definitely relate to you. But I can honestly say the some of the best friends that I have in life are because of the internet~ Sure not everyone is kind online, but not everyone is cruel either~
I felt the same way about the internet, thought every time I reached out others would call me pathetic, I joined hopecube recently and it's a pleasant surprise how nice the people are, and how good it feels just to talk to someone. Like an online therapist. Things will get better it just takes a shift in attitude, which is much easier said than done. Find something that will calm you down or realign you with your true self, meditation or a hot bath, whatever it takes. Please, do it for yourself. You just need to take control of your life.
Hi Valrose. I want to let you know I have been where you are now. I can't tell you what you should do. I can however tell you what I did and it helped alot. A friend encouraged me to seek help. I went to several psychiatrist's. It took some time but I found one I was comfortable with. Now with his help, and some medications to help get me over the rough days. I am happier than I have ever been in my life. You are going to have to reach out. I have so many good friends now. People that I thought wanted nothing to do with me, are now great friends because I learned how to reach out to people. Everyone has the ability to make their life better. You just have to find the right person to help you get there. Lots of love to you.
Hi Valrose. I'm sorry about your problems and I did my best to help you in your original blog. I don't see any sign of another user "ripping your heart out". If you've received abusive messages, please let us know and we'll take care of it.
The bottom line is that the problems you are facing are not something that can be solved by an internet website. We can send you encouragements, help you research, and offer you advices, but we can't make your problems go away. Please don't get discouraged when there's a lack of response. It's not that people don't care, they just don't know what they can do for you.
