How can I get over this? Insomina and Loneliness
asked by konakona on 11 September 2007 1:56
I am prone to many mood swings.. and recently I entered the university.. I am friends with the guys in my class and all that, but... I somehow feel alone, just plain alone, even if I have all these wonderful friends, I just can't feel happy and crowded. Not only that, I can't sleep well, I sleep like 3 hours a day because the times flies off with my homework and stuff.... I can't sleep well, and I feel alone.. I feel as If will never meet someone to be with, as if I will be alone forever. Regardless... most people describe me as cheerful and funny... and an interesting person, that kinds of stuff... but.. you get my point, right?

I have problem with insomnia often. The only thing that consistently help is exercise. If you go to the gym for an hour a few times a week, you'll sleep much better.
yea i do under stand, example__ u have so many friends yet, when your around them u can't help but think that even though u have a lot of friends thats not enough. u what to be with some one, some one so close u can smell them. like a companion. but that person is not around u so u feel alone.
it hurts to not have a companion, well let me tell u this. ya ya ya trust god. god is always with u so ask him what should u do. trust me he will answer u, it may seem like hes not but he is. over time u will find out that ether u have gotten really close to some one and u don't even know it yet. or a person will just pop in to your life... like an angel came down and found u some one to be with. cry ahhhh please pray for your self and i will also pray for u to find a companion.
Konakona ...
Not to project my experiences with depression / insomnia onto you at all, but based upon what you mentioned in your post, it sounds like the classic symptoms of depression or one of its subgenres. Take a gander over at Wikipedia's entries for depression and insomnia and let me know if anything strikes a chord with you regarding the symptoms. Hope they help.

Sweety,
Maybe you just haven't identified yourself with these new 'friends'. In the back of your mind, you're probably thinking you are all alone because none of your friends share your feelings/concerns/favorites. You think they have their own things going on... and you don't know how you fit in with all of that. The truth is, so many of those around you are also trying to find a place for themselves in this world. Find a common ground, share your feelings with others, be compassionate and open-minded about their troubles, and in time you wont feel lonely anymore.
About your special someone: Don't seek her because you'll see her everywhere... and then sadly find out it's not your Ms. Right (or however you wanna call her). That is how we all end up broken-hearted. In time, she will arrive... and there will be no way around her. ^_^
I hope you take these word in consideration...
BYE-BYE
