When explaining it to him, make sure you make it very clear that he is still loved. Explain to him that what makes someone a dad is part physical and part love (might have to do the whole flower and the bee thing), and that the current dad is someone who is giving him fatherly love.

i was kidnapped as an infant and raised by phsycos who lied to me my whole life and when i found my family and the truth it was devestating but knowing was more than i ever thought it could be. u tell that child whatever u want but one way or another he will struggle with it and suffer with it and if you never give up on him than one day he will find a way to deal and that will be the reward for your honesty. your honesty is what he needs the most no matter how it comes out. THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE
