How do you know if you really have a sex addiction?
asked by [NegaZero] on 5 November 2007 23:06
Sometimes I really do think I have a sexual addiction.
It's like I just can't stop it.
I've tried being abstinent. It just doesn't work for me. I can't stop myself.
My doctor says it's part of my bipolar disorder, because it's taking a risk, which deals with Mania.
I think I really am addicted. What should I do about it, if I am? What if it's just trying to fill an emotional void?

Thanks a lot, I'm going to go and take that test. I'm also going to send it along to my boyfriend, lulz. But it does sometime interfere with our relationship or at least I feel that it does. Sometimes it does feel like I just have an overly healthy appetite but it's hard to judge. I hope this helps, but thank you so much anyways!~ <3

There's a self test on this site, if you want to try it.
Does your addiction interfere with your relationships with important others? Some people just have a really healthy appetite, maybe you're one of them?
I think sex does fill an emotional void, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. IDK, just my thoughts, FWIW.
