Is there some secret to falling asleep?

asked by theasylumdownthelane on 31 December 2007 13:44

Because if there is, could someone tell me? It seems like the only time I can fall asleep quickly is after I've been up for 20+ hours, which I can't do all the time because of school. I've tried going to bed earlier, exercising, music, reading, going to my happy place, not thinking, and no tv, caffine, etc.

You named most of the things I would have recommended. Have you tried taking a long, hot shower before going to bed? Some people find the humidity and heat to be very relaxing.

A warm glass of milk or some hard exercise early in the day works for me. Reading a boring book helps too. XD

Hmm, you named pretty much all that I would recommend. The only other thing I know about is that for some people, I know a hot shower right before bed helps. As it relaxes the mind, and preps it for nighty night time.
