Fell down 12 steps in the middle of the night, was found four hours later. Seven days in coma, 57 staples in my head. Only permanent loss is not sense of taste or smell

That's scary. A friend of mine had TBI from falling off his skateboard. He still suffers from random memory loss and his hearing is diminished. The doctor said there's nothing they can do for him.
Just wondering, you can't smell or taste anything?
I had a tbi after my abusive exboyfriend ran over me with his 4-wheeler and I was in a coma for 3 weeks. I too have diminished hearing and I have a lot of memory loss. I have noticed it getting worse lately so I am going to see my neurologist this Tuesday. Hopefully everything will go good and he will be able to tell me some things I can do that will help with memory and headaches and dizziness. Anyways, I know what you are going through and if you ever need someone to talk to who understands...I am here.
