Ulcer on my lip? What do I do?
asked by Pecan3.14159 on 21 July 2007 5:03
I was playing tennis yesterday and mis-swinged and hit my mouth with the racket. It was bleeding probably because my teeth cut it. Now I have a HUGE ulcer and it hurts. What can I do?
Answers
You can stop playing tennis, that will eliminate the chances of getting another one :)
nice site keep up the good work ^^
If it is a canker or a cold sore then something that really helps me is taking lots of Lysine. It is a remedy that was recommended to me by an ex-girlfriend and it works like a charm. I don't know the specifics of why but it helps dry out the sore and it will heal more quickly.
I must say that I've never seen herpes spread by tennis racket before. That's got to be a first :)
It might just be a cut. Unless you have had a canker or cold sore previously that is.
The ulcer is a canker sore and it's a type of herpes. Since it's viral, there's basically nothing you can do. Taking some immune boosting vitamins might help.
