I commend you for having the strength to report him for what he did. There are far too many men and women out in the world that are too scared to report a sexual assault. Stay strong, seek emotional support and don't let what he did control your life.

Legally speaking, if someone tries to file against someone for rape, it goes on their file forever. If he does it again, the police will likely see the report and think twice before just letting him off because of circumstance or lack of evidence.

reporting rape is not about justice so much as about taking control of your fears and facing your demons. even if he never gets in trouble u took away the power he weilded over u and that is more important than any judge or jury. u did well and u should be proud i never told until it was too late and u have taken back the thing he wanted most from u your fear. way to go never surrender never give up im proud of you you give me faith in myself.
