My child says sertant words,i know its not supposed to be perfect, yet it seems like he cant hear me very good..An when we teach him new words that go to a picture he only knows 1 or 2...He understands what we mean an will know what object we are talking about but he wont say them...So my Question is Am i doing something wrong,or is their something wrong with his learning abilities???

August242 has a good point.

Age 0-2: His brain capacity is at a minimum. Be grateful he's speaking at all.

Ages 3-4: It depends on the child's development. He could have a learning disability, or you could be doing something wrong.

Ages 5-7: He might have a learning disability.

Ages 8+: High chance of learning disability.

Also, what are you doing?

First and foremost, how old is the child?
