About Me
Teens have a difficult world to navigate - they have pressure to excel in school and extra-curricular activities, they are discovering who they are, and they are figuring out where they fit into their families and in with their peers.
When children are having trouble, they will either "act in" or "act out."
"Acting in" includes withdrawing, depression, self-mutilation, overeating, undereating, purging food, sleeping too much or too little, video game and internet overuse, and drug or alcohol abuse.
"Acting out" includes anger, getting into fights, promiscuity, vandalism, truancy, failing grades, etc.

I offer you a safe place to explore your feelings. We will explore the beliefs you have about yourself and work through negative patterns to reach more positive ways to be in the world.
