Breast implants linked with suicide in study

“The increased risk of suicide was not apparent until 10 years after implantation,”
The only reason I wanted the BA surgery was because I’m tired of feeling like a boy. I call it deformity. Even though I can hide it with padded bra and big lose clothes, it’s oblivious that doesn’t cover up my low self esteem. That is why I believe this procedure will only help me feel better about my body and myself as a woman.
After I read this article, I think it’s very important for woman who plans or getting breast augmentation to commit and be responsible for their body and mental health. My plastic surgeon made sure I understand that I can call him at anytime for questions and concerns. Even though my experience of the surgery was rough, but because of the support I got from my doctor and especially my Husband, I quickly recovered back to normal again. I never have any thoughts of suicide, but I know if patients stay in touch with their plastic surgeon or have a good support team will definitely help avoid any suicidal thoughts.
